ROAD UPDATE
There is still protest/criminal activity around Mphophomeni and closer to Boston. Do not use this section of the R617. From Durban the road via Richmond and Ixopo is good – just be patient.
Alternatively go past the Underberg turnoff on the N3. Take exit 107 to Howick North/Tweedie. Just before Piggly Wiggly take the Dargle Road. 23km follow the Everglades road to rejoin the R617 after Boston.
Jhb entrants go off the N3 at Nottingham road and down past PiggleWiggly to the Dargle road
