The run numbers will be capped at 500 runners across both event.
Those runners who have taken part previously will be invited to enter again before public entries open.
There will be a run come hell or high water. The race is held in afternoon thunder-storm season in the Drakensberg – and if the rain or river gods are not with us, we may well be swimming and not running. But at least it’s bound to be warm at that time of year!
It is one of the first trail runs of the season and will test your early season fitness and skills! You’ll see the river from close – and also from high on the plateaus – giving some spectacular views.
The course will follow the Umzimkulu River and its tributaries with both days starting and finishing at the Swartberg road bridge. This has been done to make it a lot easier to drive to the start and return after your run each day, especially as many people book accommodation in and around Underberg.
